SEC bans short-selling of 799 financial stocks

I like this temporary ban. There are some greedy traders out there that would love to watch companies and their employees crumble in order to make a buck off their misfortune.

I wish they would also regulate the oil speculators and force them to have to actually have all the money up front when they end up driving up the price of oil so high.

It's nice to see the president finally get involved and take some positive action to protect our citizens. Too often they just let things get way too far out of control until it's too late

yeah they are insuring the mutual funds in trouble too. the government is taking serious action and quickly to bail out the economy.
