Has anyone else heard the conspiracy theory that outlines our weaken dollar as nothing more than an attempt by the federal government to push for a uniformed currency throughout North and South America? The outcome would be the Amero. Yes the Amero, derived from the Euro.
The idea being that if we were to uniform the currency and value of Canada, USA and then Central and South America, we would position ourselves as a uniformed super continent.
Sounds kind of out there I know, but I've heard it mentioned on other message boards, and I recently saw something on AOL about it.

I think this idea is a little nuts. Our dollar is the foundation of the world, it's only how poorly the United States is currently handling our economy is the reason the dollar is sucking around the world. If we would just get our act together as a country then we wouldn't be having to have this debate about an Amero imitation Euro currency. What's next, a NatoAmero?

I live in california, and I swear to you that I was out in Los Angeles the other day and behind the cashier read the sign we accept pesos. I don't even know how that would be possible to deposit. But from what I understand, it is a fairly common thing to see along the south west boarder states. So what's the difference, If we are going to begin conducting commerce in the states using the peso, why not uniform the currency

It will be really hard to stop this process and eventually i'm sure the fence that never goes up will eventually come down. I just wish we put a limit on how many people can come to this country and how much we can outsource - i know we need to make our businesses competitive nationally and internationally, but i also would like to see people have jobs.
