I never thought I would have to worry about this. I want to research a little about this area before moving forward. Your site has some good info on this topic (I can absorb it more over the weekend then the board some questions next week).

OK the latest with the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae government bailout and with bank #11 closing Silver State Bank, Henderson, NV (6 more since IndyMac), it's time for you all to seriously think about diversifying some of your portfolio into Offshore Banking.
Contact Offshore Company right away before your chance to protect your assets is taken away from you by your bank possibly closing on you.
Call and ask to speak with an Offshore Banking Consultant Offshore Company - 1-800-959-8819

I saw this all over the news this weekend - I think the bailout by the government was necessary to stabilize. Yet it's a frightening look at the domino bank failure and it's sure gonna cost us, excuse the pun it's gonna cost us BANK!!!!

Lets just pile up the bailouts and everything else in this thread.
Lehman Brothers - Bankruptcy Merrill Lynch - purchased (luckily, so it really shouldn't be on this list) Bear Stearns - collapse Freddie Mac / Fannie Mae - bailout
American International Group - the world's largest insurance company forced to restructure (so i guess this shouldn't be on the list).
maybe an economy thread.

yeah i guess some of these do belong in this thread. i'm diversified pretty good now thanks to this board and 1800company. it's just sad it has to come down to this. I also get a little saddened when i see this lawsuit protection threads - i'm grateful these are here on the board yet sad that as a society we have to protect ourselves from leeches that want to suck us dry. ok i also am sad that we live in a society where we have to have locks on our doors and car alarms in order to protect ourselves.

I know i'm watching the government bailout them out or another company buying them or bankruptcy. and now i'm watching to see who rescues Washington Mutual.

I'm wondering what bank is next or what bank is saved from being next by either a gov't bailout or another bank picking it up.
Nows a great time for those companies with serious cash to pick these up for a bargain.

I think we are losing track, I didn't notice anyone posting 2 more banks that crashed:
11. Silver State Bank, Henderson, NV
12. Ameribank, Northfork, WV
Blink and you will miss the next one
